Although I'm about as far from what you might call a "Nature Person," I do have to admit that I do enjoy taking in the beauty of nature.
I often catch myself just gazing around wherever I go, scanning the area for what would be a great shot. Wishing that I would've packed up my gear and brought it with me to be able to capture this moment in time.
I do enjoy taking pictures of what could be called "nature shots." Things that fall into this category would be buildings, parks, structures, plant life, flowers, interesting objects and even pictures of things and artifacts around the house.
One of the reasons why I enjoy still life so much is because of just that. It's not moving so there is plenty of time to get set up in just the right spot and to tweak your aperture and exposure, play with lighting effects, maybe use filters and throw in a few artistic shots. These type of shoots are very relaxing and they can be very rewarding.
